Bio

Michael Boyajian
Michael Boyajian is an educator and a former human rights and labor judge whose greatest achievement was adjudicating New York State's Executive Order 12 cases which resulted in the unionization of 50,000 child care workers for the CSEA and the United Federation of Teachers. He is the author of Green Enchantments and writes frequently for regional magazines and was a columnist for the Poughkeepsie Journal. His letters appear regularly in the New York Times, Metro New York and the Poughkeepsie Journal. Over 25 years ago he left college to become a writer. He could not get published so he returned to Stony Brook University and received his degree and embarked on a career in publishing before entering Brooklyn Law School. In 2000 he was sitting on the lawn of his home in the Catskills when he realized how beautiful his surroundings were. He decided to share this beauty with people and started writing essays that were immediately published and resulted in the book Green Enchantments. He has now authored four Kindle books, A Writer's Guide to the Hudson Valley, Hudson Valley High, Level Elevations and Bee Boro.
